In 2018, Comparative Politics received 266 manuscripts, of which 70 percent were sent to external peer readers for review and 30 percent were rejected in-house. The average time of the review process, from submission to decision, was 58 days. The average decision time for externally reviewed manuscripts was 82 days.
The Editorial Committee accepted for publication 10 percent of submissions and invited resubmissions of revised manuscripts for another round of external peer review of another 15 percent of submissions.
