In 2023, Comparative Politics received 265 manuscripts, of which 51 percent were sent to external peer readers for review and 49 percent were rejected in-house. The average time of the review process, from submission to decision, was 32 days. The average decision time for only externally reviewed manuscripts was 63 days.
The Editorial Committee accepted for publication 8 percent of submissions and invited resubmissions of revised manuscripts for another round of external peer review of another 10 percent of submissions.
